NEW MUSIC

Wow, last published in Nov. 2007. We've been off the ball.
Anyway, last night I read the most recent Rolling Stone. I was immediately prompted to get four new albums, and I am going to be forced to see two new movies in theatres.
If I'm so excited, you'd better damned well be excited too.

Different from the previous. Less raw feeling I guess, but still excellent and unique. Looking forward to seeing them soon...

You're going to get this album anyway, so you might as well read the review. I think it is back to their earlier talents. Maybe we can forget the albums in between...

Beck - Modern Guilt:
I haven't listened yet, but it's a new Beck album, so it's requisite. And it's reviewed well meaning it's not going to be another sniffin glue sniffin glue you don't know what you're missin type album. Plus, Danger Mouse is pretty cool.
Unfortunately, the review isn't posted yet. Probably some kind of ... Rolling Stone wanting to make money from selling their magazine, or something.

Death Cab for Cutie - Narrow Stairs:
I've only heard it twice, but I think it's their best yet. Still dark, but less somber feeling than much of their older work.
